Why child sponsorship?
We can make effort to address the injustices against the children today but in the developing countries, our efforts can only be sustained if these children acquire quality education. We believe that access to quality education is the key to helping children break out of poverty.
Child sponsorship costs $35 for all children from Preschool through 10th, unless children in 8th through 10th are in boarding school in which case the monthly amount will be $75. All students in 11th - 13th grades, which are the last three years of high school and include rigorous college prep classes, are required to board at secondary school and the monthly amount for those students will be $75 per month.
Their sponsorship means they can attend school consistently and are equipped with the materials and support needed to succeed in their education. By sponsoring a child, you empower that child to utilize their full potential. We have two top-priority goals for each child we work with; to help them complete high school or a vocational equivalent and nurture them to serve beyond self.
How is my sponsorship important?
When you sponsor a child, you provide for that child’s school fees, uniform, scholastic materials, and basic medical assistance. Your sponsored student and his or her family will love you, pray for you, and know you by name. You will experience transformation as you come alongside them and help free them to dream. Sponsoring a child impacts the world by saving one child at a time.
Communicate with your sponsored child
While it’s not required that you write to your child, we strongly encourage you do to so. Letters let your sponsored child know that they are important to you and help increase the child’s literacy and communication skills. You may write to your child as often as you like. Your child will also greatly enjoy pictures of you and your family. You can send your sponsored child a letter through a visiting friend or electronically through our emails. The response from your child will largely depend on the school activities because we encourage children to concentrate during test periods so that they can get excellent grades.
